Axholme North Triathlon takes place on the beautiful Isle of Axholme in North Lincolnshire.
If you have thought about doing a triathlon in the past but thought you couldn’t because you don’t look like a triathlete i.e Skinny Minnie Think again.
Don’t have a super douper carbon bike. No problem as long as your bike is road worthy it can have a shopping basket on the front (I have seen this at races before)
Can’t swim Front Crawl. No problem you can swim breastroke in fact many 1st timers do this and with a swim of just 200m in our super sprint, you can do it too.
The swim is in the fabulous new 25m pool at Axholme Leisure Centre. The bike is probably the flattest in the country and takes place on quiet country roads from the Leisure Centre to Eastoff and back twice. The run is again flat and takes you into Crowle Town centre and finishes on North Axholme Academy School field.
We have 2 distances a Super Sprint which is a 200m swim: 10km cycle: 2.5km run or
Sprint Distance which is a 400m swim:20km cycle: 5km run
Think how proud your partner and kids will be when you pass the finish line and a beautiful wooden medal is placed around your neck.
You are a triathlete and you will also have a brilliant recycled T-shirt that lets everyone know that too.
There will be mobile food vans onsite to fuel you after the event.
This is a true community event and we aim to have as many first-timers as possible taking part. We also offer a discount for community residents.
