I’ve been chatting to a friend who said to me, where have you been these last few days?
And I said, I’ve been to Portugal swimming.
And she said,
“I’ve always wanted to do a triathlon, but I don’t think I can do the swimming bit.
I’m so, so scared of putting my face in the water and of actually swimming.
I can do head up breast stroke, but I can’t do that front crawl.”
So I explained that over the six hours I coached the lady to swim competent front crawl, and she managed 50 meters in one go.
She was easily swimming 1000 meters at the end of those six hours.
